Kimochis Toys With Feelings Inside Review & Giveaway!! CLOSED

OK, I have been SOOOOOOOO excited about this giveaway and have been saving it for several months for my special BDay Celebration!

Kimochis, Toys With Feelings Inside are SO amazing, I hardly know where to start!

I was looking to do a mini unit on feelings and emotions with my son. I began searching on line to see what I could come up with that would help a younger child to learn and understand feelings. My search led me to Kimochis and the second I stepped foot in their site and began to look around I knew this was an AMAZING item!

I contacted Kimochis right away and told them I needed to review this product and they agreed!
So let me tell you about this amazing toy/tool! Kimochi means Feeling in Japanese. These plush toys are meant to be used a tool to teach children how to understand and communicate how they feel. They are also used to help parents, teachers and even therapists learn how to connect with a child who is feeling a certain emotion/feeling and help walk them through it and positively deal with negative emotions or encourage positive emotions/feelings.

Sounds pretty amazing right? Well let me tell you MORE!

Each Kimichi Character has a specific personality and comes with a set of 3 feelings that match what that Character will likely feel.

Cloud is Moody and comes with feelings Happy, Sad, & Mad
Huggtopus is Overbearing and comes with feelings Happy, Silly, & Frustrated
Bug is Fearful and comes with feelings Happy, Brave, & Left Out

There are more detailed explanations of each Kimochi and you will receive a little booklet to explain how to use the Kimochi and feelings. You can also order more feelings in packages and really make use of this tool!

We received Bug from Kimochis and my son just LOVED "her." He calls her Bee. Because he is nearly 3 we used the Kimochi in a way that worked for his age. He can't problem solve and work through feelings the same way a 5 year old can but he can learn to identify feelings and begin to understand to some extent what they mean. I find that he often projects his feelings into the Kimochi and says things like, "Bee is sad-y, got time out." He would place the feeling that looked sad to him into Bees pocket. Then talk about it.

As you can see, this can be a a pretty powerful tool for kids to learn to express themselves and understand their feelings. I can't say enough about it! This is one of my all time favorite toys and learning tools.

This is a great tool! I am going to definitely recommend Kimochis to our speech therapist as well. This is a great tool not only for teachers but behavioral therapists and those in that field as well as parents. Thanks so much for letting us know about this!

That is the cutest thing! I have never heard of them. I think this would be a great tool for my 3 year old who has a hard time putting faces to feelings.

Would these be good for a two year old boy? I would like to enter anyway because even if they aren't any good for him when he's two, maybe they will be when he's older.

I posted it on my facebook page. I have a lot of friends who have little ones, work with little ones, and run or own child centers so I think they should be a big hit with them.
