For the DOUGH we used THIS recipe and brushed the dough after the first bake with a thin layer of melted butter and garlic salt.
For the SAUCE we used THIS recipe with tomatoes from our CSA basket and added some other herbs etc that were also included.
For the toppings we used:
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Quattro Formaggio (cheese blend of A shredded blend of Parmesan, Asiago, Fontina and Mild Provolone Cheeses) YUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!
- Veggies from CSA
The Results:
AMAZING! The BEST pizza we have EVER made! NO JOKE! And it only took 2 and a half hours. WHEW!
Zorro had more fun than I thought with the dough, he actually took over kneading and punching the dough so I could start chopping veggies!
This was NOT "Simply Made." Next time we will use the machine with this recipe. but it was fun to do this together.

Sounds great! We make pizza on Fridays but I buy the premade crusts and sauce in a jar and just add toppings. It isn't really homemade, but it still tastes really good. I don't have the patience to make it all from scratch.
Haven't cooked that in decades. Maybe it's time... perfect fall dinner. Football!
I make homemade pizzas all the time and have found frozen bread dough to make the best crispy crusts. I can't find a recipe that beats it!
