I am participating in ABC &123's Picnic table talk. This week is introductions so here is a little bit of info about us.
I am Kristiana (Kristi) and I am married to David, we have been married since 2004. Zorro (will continue to be known as Zorro) was born in 2006.
David is a computer guy turned law student. Our life right now is a ball of stress and madness as David pushes on to his 3rd year in Law School.
I am a SAHM and sometimes an Esthetician. :) I see clients every so often mostly for waxing and I do skin consults for a natural mothering store that sells non toxic skin care.
We live in Orange County, California and the name of my blog, Orange Juice, has to do do with that. The URL is a play on our last name. I started blogging as an alternative to scapbooking and photo albums because I don't like them hanging around. I am petrified they will get ruined. But when I first started blogging it was a Private blog and I didn't really keep it up. I am also not a "journaling" kind of person because I find myself uninspired to write to....no one. Once I went public and had a "virtual audience" real or imagined (ha ha) I realized that it was easy for me to write.
David and I both love reading, before S I would read about 2-3 books a week and my goal was to read at least 1 fiction and 1 non fiction a week. Those days are LONG gone though...for now. But you can see just how much D loves to read...sometimes he actually becomes the character...here is David Proust...er...Marcel Proust. And those "handle bars" are real baby!
I never thought I would be a crafting, curriculum writing, homeschooling type of mom. In a whirlwind I found myself going down that road and I am so glad I did! I find that our lives are richer for these things. I have begun to tap into my long suppressed creativity, David supports me all the way, and Soren reaps the benefits of learning, doing and enjoying so many more things.
Here's a few more notes about me:
I don't edit my writing- too boring
I'm an insomniac- really, just ask me when I went to be last night
I always bite off more than I can chew
I REALLY like to shop -
I watch the Biggest Loser and eat candy while I complain how much weight I have gained
I get distracted easily
I REALLY like it when people leave comments so I don't feel so lonely ;)
If you are reading this but haven't been over to ABC & 123 GO GO GO! It's a great learning co-op blog with lots of ideas that mommy's are sharing with each other.
18 JUICY LOVE NOTES:
It's so nice to meet you!! I never thought I liked to write either, but it does come really easy on the blog.
Oh my goodness! We are way too much alike!! i LOVE the biggest loser and always seem to be eating treats while watching it! too bad we don't live closer- we could watch the show together while having dessert parties! i didn't know your hubby was a computer guy either- what kind of law does he want to practice? and you don't need to edit your writing- it is such an easy read. :)
you are too funny!!!
Yeah, 3 has been much harder for us. It's the constant whining that gets to me the most.
My hubby is a network engineer (makes computers talk to each other) and he can fix just about any problem. It has been really scary for him to start this new business, but we really had no other choice. The nice thing is that every business needs what he does. We've had to make ALOT of changes in our spending habits, but we've paid all of our bills so far and that is SUCH a blessing!
I agree writing for no one is no fun! Glad you've joined up and wrote you fun post. I love learning the little details about people. I went to be last night at two-thirty, were you in bed first or me?
We are alike in many ways...except the OC part! Just this week I posted about my insomnia fun...unfortunately it wasn't on the computer, but the desk is clean now!
I've been stalking your blog for a while now...before you changed URL's. I love that you shared Z's real name...and shared that picture of him again!
Okay...maybe stalking was the wrong word...Since I'm not a follower I called myself a stalker. Or am I a follower? Maybe I should be!? Yes, I have commented before. Did that clear it up? Haha!
Time for bed...yes, at 9:41. And like you...almost never productive!
I'll be back!
Katie-
You beat me to bed for sure. I got into bed sometime after 5am and didn't fall asleep till sometime after 6am...it was already light out.
Can someone say SLEEPING PILLS???
Keri, if you plan ahead its only like a 11-13 hour drive from Utah (wait do you live in Utah? I thought I read something but when I looked on your profile it didn't say where you lived...scary!)..anyway assuming you.... I think it's totally worth the drive ha ha
Annette-
Stalker- reading & no commenting
Follower- has commented
Subscriber- in a reader
You're definitely not a stalker ;)
Nighty night! Catch some Z's for me.
I think the proper name for Annette is a lurker, that's what people who come by and read for a long time but don't comment or leave a "footprint" are called:) I've been guilty of being that, that's for sure!
It was fun to meet you. I love your idea of using theme boxes! I am excited to see more of your ideas. I find myself up way too late, but I don't think I'm at the insomniac stage yet.
Yeah! I love finding out more about the people whose blogs I read. I need to go over to the summer picnic. Maybe that'll be my naptime activity for today... Aside fromt eh five otehr things I need to do.
I can't believe your son's name is Soren! We are really good friends with a couple that have a son named Soren and we've never heard that name anywhere else before. I can't wait to tell them about you!
Nice to meet. Stopping from ABC&123.
Have a nice weekend.
You are precious! I think we may be kindred spirits with some of those things you listed about you!
I can't wait to get to know you better!
You sound just like me!!!! I've been an insomniac since being pregnant with #2, I love love love books and so does my little girl (she sleeps with them), I love the Biggest Loser and watch it as I eat my Reese's Blizzard from Dairy Queen, and I just graduated from college and have $20,000 in student loans to pay off which is hard for a shopaholic!!! I so sympathize with you. I'm glad to have come across your blog.
Stopping by for a picnic. loved looking at your blog.
It was so fun to read about you. Hope you enjoy your summer and thanks for all.
