Field Trip- Marconi Automotive Museum

Ever wonder what a $30 million collection of cars looks like?

Our Theme this week is:
CARS
We went to the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin, CA. Admission is $5 per person.

We walked around this small museum of what I guess is supposed to be a collection of around 75 cars (averaging a mere $400,000 EACH!). The cars range from racing cars and bikes to street cars like a KAGILLION Ferraris and some Lamborghinis, and some seriously funky named cars that ONLY a car buff would know (oops SORRY!). There were some really impressive vehicles though even if you know nothing about cars. There was even a 193? fire engine (WAY COOL) a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing, and a collection of vintage cars. Pretty neat even if you don't know just how cool the things are you're looking at.

This museum donates much if it's earning, through visitors and events, to children's foundations/charities. It's nice to know that the money made goes to good causes.
