CRAFTivities- A Family Garden

FAMILY GARDEN

I was inspired by the book, "Planting A Rainbow" By Lois Ehlert to do a gardening project together and start a "family garden." We planted lavender and seeded lots of wild flowers.

TOOLS: Soil, Seeds and/or pants, Water,
Gardening Tools (HA! I don't know what they are all called)

I never remember to plant bulbs in the fall and then I'm all bummed out in the spring when everyone else has tulips. Am marking my calendar, thanks!

My 5 year old brought home a tomato plant from a class field trip to a green house. She and I planted it in a pot and it has been her responsibility to water it. I was shocked but we have gotten dozens of cherry tomatoes off of it already. She is so proud and excited about it.

how fun...I can't wait for a few more months to have a yard again...except then it will be fall/winter so nothing will really grow well anyway!
