Potty Training Part 1- Potty Training Power

POTTY TRAINING POWER
Potty Training Program

To begin our official potty training adventures we felt it was essential to use a program to help guide us. I am so glad we decided to use one! We used Potty Training Power and after reading through the basic material, I realized that there were more facets to potty training then I had realized, and I was doing a few things wrong.

My son has been ready to be potty trained for several months now, but because of uncertainty and minor frustrations I was not really getting anywhere. Our son would go in his potty occasionally and we continued to use diapers as well as pull ups without pushing him towards independence.

Potty Training Power was developed by Sean and Cindy Platt who use their expertise to potty train in their preschool. This been an exceptional program to use not only because of the tips and information but because of one seriously unique feature of this program. They offer one on one attention by way of email for ANY of your potty training questions and generally respond within 24 hours. Potty Training Power is revised and updated annually and only accepts a certain number of sign ups to make sure that they can give attention to each family as needed.

Let me tell you a little story:

After about five days of potty training our son started having accidents and refused to use his potty. One day after he pooped in his underwear, Naughty thought that it would be hilarious to pee ON me in the middle of cleaning him up. Being that I've been pee free since the baby months I wasn't thrilled but it was TOO funny. I tried to keep a straight face and be stern so he wouldn't think it's OK to do it, but it was hopeless. At any rate it was a concern and I took it to PTP. They gave me excellent suggestions and within 2 days he was back to his normal potty training schedule WITHOUT accidents.

As new questions came up I would send them over and receive excellent advice that kept us going and helped us to keep our cool. We're still potty training but it is keeping us from throwing in the towel when we REALLY want to sometimes. Without this service, I would be at a loss in many respects and extremely frustrated at the whole potty training process. I really feel that all the tools in the world won't help if you don't have the right foundation and help along the way.

The information doesn't end with the program though. They have a Blog and Twitter site that you can find the tips and information you need anytime for free!

I would love to try this. I am so new to the potty training thing, esp with boys. I was a nanny and helped to potty train a girl, but I hear boys are different.
