Itty Bitty Bookworm- Hush! A Thai Lulaby & 10 Fat Turkeys Part 1

Since we've been using the Itty-Bitty Bookworm Curriculum* for a couple of months now, I have to say I am more and more impressed with it. Obviously we've been fans of crafts and activities but we didn't focus on one book at a time. By using this model and IBB I see how much more he is able to process and understand what we read and how much more he learns by doing these things. It's pretty amazing to me. (Yes, when I love something I gush...what can I say?)

This week we did part of 2 lessons.  Next week we will continue with 10 Fat Turkeys.

This week we read:

We started with "Hush! A Thai Lullaby" and had lots of fun with a variety of crafts and activities.

We practiced counting with the rice grains and placed them in little tiny boxes working on fine motor skills. We also practiced cutting those boxes later.

We also made this fun rice house!

We also got a head start on Thanksgiving. I wanted to spend more time with this so we are stretching this out. We started with reading 10 Fat Turkeys

We made this TOTALLY SUPER COOL turkey craft from IBB. Check out my post later this week to see how we used this craft for a super fun family night!

Zorro colored this print out & we also made some fun fall lacing cards offered for free by Raising Itty-Bitty Bookworm's Blog! Check those out!

*We are using IBB Bo's Curriculum Year 1, for the month of November

I love the rice house and the putting rice in the little boxes. I keep getting tempted to get the IBB curriculum, but never quite bite the bullet.
