Seriously, it's been a rough week. Actually it's been a rough several weeks but this week my stress is at an all time high. Without getting into details, I'm very discouraged and hurt. To top it off, the result of the matter that is discouraging me has put us into a major financial bind and my stress is through the roof.
I've been stress eating and my IBS has kicked into overtime (PAINFUL!). I'm still working out like I was but because of stress and stress eating, I am not losing weight (but not gaining Thank God!) and that's the kicker.
I just need some encouragement.

18 JUICY LOVE NOTES:
I'm sorry you're having a rough time girl...but we all have times of setback and disappointment...that bring other things with them! You'll get through it and come out even better on the other side! Financial struggle is so hard but just remember...God never closes a door without opening a window!
oh dear, I know how hard being stressed can be, especially when it comes to finances. I have been eating like CRAZY this week just to cope with Isaac.
But just be praying about your situation and I will too. If you need to talk, please email me. : )
I wish I knew what to say here. Scott and I went through financial hard times in 2005, and it was so bad I thought it might be better if I just slept and never woke up. Just know that this too shall pass. Trust in God and your family. Scott and I just clung onto each other like we were going through a tornado until it was over, and now we are stronger than ever. I wish you the same strength to get through this hard time. ((hugs))
I have no idea what you are going through..just want you to know I'm thinking of you. Hang in there..as a stress eater..(just last night at 2am..i had about 6 cookies and milk and a nutragrain bar)..I understand..try and grab stuff that is not going to affect your IBS. Is there anyone you can talk to when you are stressing? Or..how about a nice hot herbal tea?
..xo
Awwww...... I'm sorry girl, it has been a bad couple of weeks. Well, let's think of the ways you are awesome: you have a great kid and husband, so that makes you awesome, you're friends with me, so that makes you awesome. You ahve a great sense of humor, and a great sense of style, that makes you awesome. You're very giving, that makes you awesome. You work so hard and try your best to los e weight.
I'd go on, but I now have 2 boys fighting over who sits on my lap, so that's not going to work anymore.
I'm sorry sweetie....
Put down that cheese puff! You can do it and if you can't....Just pack 'em up and send 'em to me.
I've been in a "Funk" for the past week also. I can't shake it either.
It will get better though.
IT HAS TO!
Hang in there darling! While you and I don't have the same problems, I understand discouragement and needing a lift. My prayers are with you. I know that God answers prayers, just not always in the way we expect.
Hey girl! I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Health stuff, money stuff, all of it. I don't know what your particular situation is, but I hate the feeling of being overwhelmed and stressed and having it affect parts of your life. We're in the thick of some financial stress, too, wondering how we'll make ends meet, so I can relate there. Sending big hugs your way, and hoping that things will smooth out very soon. And hey, give yourself major props for continuing to work out and for maintaining your weight - that's awesome. :)
I so hate money! Why must it be so stressful???
I am so sorry things are looking down right now. When I get depressed I tend to close off and eat lost of cereal...why cereal I don't know.
You can do it! You are strong and you will get through this tough time!!! Chew lots of gum...ya stupid advice. Also hugs from that cute baby boy of yours might help a little too!
Kristi
I just want to encourage you with scripture:
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2corinthians 4:16-18
Trust in His Word and Promises my friend.
Plus you are a totally cool mom and you have great hair!
Wish you were having a better day/week/weeks. Sometimes life is hard and just plain sucks. Here’s the best encouragement I can offer (pulled this from the jacket cover of Ken Gire's book "The Weathering Grace of God" -- the full text is found on pages 16-18):
“Upheavals come suddenly, unexpectedly, and often catastrophically. Whenever they come, however they come, they forever alter the settled terrain that once was our life….In time, God turns the most terrifying of eruptions into the most majestic of mountains, the most tragic of earthquakes into the most idyllic of landscapes. That is the unrelenting work of heaven, to make everything beautiful in its time.”
Your Veteran’s tribute to Saba was very touching and really impacted that old Seal. Nice picture too!
Love you - Safta
sorry to hear that, i only have the lame cliche "this too, shall pass" it may not seem like it, but everything does pass. i have been there.
I'm sorry you've having such a rough time. I hear you. I am a world class, gold medal level worrier, especially when I have money troubles.
Do you know what I found helpful? It's a 50 year old book by Dale Carnegie. It's called How to Stop Worrying and Start Living or something like that. I keep it on my bedside table for my midnight panic attacks. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me.
I can totally empathize. I have been there and not so long ago. I also have IBS and know/understand how much stress can affect it. You are doing the right things though: exercising and eating right. You might want to try some yoga, as well. Also, drinking lots of strong fennel tea helps when I am having IBS attacks.
Please let me know if I can help in any way!
I feel for you! If I were closer we could have pick me up party together! I've felt better the last few days emotionally but have really been hanging on barely the last few weeks! My mom has IBS so I don't know how you feel but I watch her deal with this and I am sorry.
I hope you are doing better and this upcoming week is truly a good one for you and your family too! Good luck with your exercising and eating right. I have been sucking at both and so very frustrated by my lack of willpower and motivation right now. Good luck!
Hang in there, girl! I hope the black stripe will end soon!
Having a crappy time too. Remember, you are super popular on the blogosphere. That has to make you feel good!
